‘’ Our ancestors taught us Shipibo art and we have to continue to value our culture up through today’’ Isabel Silvano Sandoval, Shipibo artist

Welcome to Koshi Nomabo, the Alianza Arkana shop. This means 'Strong Women' in the native language of the Shipibo.

This shop has been a dream of ours for many years. We are close friends with many female Shipibo artists - all of these women sell their art as the main source of income for their families. By sharing their work with the world, we are creating a sustainable way of helping create an income for them, supporting the wider diffusion of Shipibo culture and raising funds for our projects.

As far as we know, this is the only non-commercial site selling Shipibo art in which all money is reinvested with the Shipibo. We are paying a full, fair price for every piece. We are then selling the artworks at standard Western prices. The profit will be going half to Alianza Arkana to support our projects and half to purchasing more artesanías from the women.

Please note that all our prices include a flat rate of $25 USD for shipping anywhere in the world.
